Esteghlal FC Seeks Crucial Victory Against Al-Shamal in AFC Elite League

TEHRAN, Nov 2 (OPA) — Esteghlal manager Yasser Asani addressed the media on the eve of the AFC Elite League clash against Al-Shamal, stressing that his squad is fully prepared for the challenge. Asani acknowledged the strength of the Qatari side but maintained that Esteghlal’s quality remains the primary focus as they pursue a victory.

"We are entering the pitch for the three points," Asani said during the pre-match press conference. "We know how powerful Al-Shamal is, but we have high-quality players and we are here to give 100 percent for our supporters."

Due to current regional conditions, Esteghlal is hosting the match in Iraq rather than in Iran. Asani expressed confidence that the team’s significant expatriate fan base will provide a home-field atmosphere despite the neutral venue. He urged local Iranian supporters to attend the stadium to bolster the team's efforts in this critical group-stage encounter.

Asani dismissed concerns regarding the venue change, asserting that Esteghlal’s reputation as a top-tier Asian club transcends borders. The team remains committed to its tactical objectives, aiming to leverage its historical standing to overcome Al-Shamal and improve its position in the Elite League standings.
